The visit took place as part of the Master’s in Hospital Architecture promoted by “Alebat Education” and “Serta Salud Arquitectos”.
Vithas Valencia Turia Hospital stands out for its efficient use of natural light, the integration of environmentally friendly materials, and its commitment to so-called “healing spaces,” designed to promote patients’ physical and emotional well-being.
Valencia – A group of “25 international professionals”, including architects, engineers, and healthcare personnel, visited “Vithas Valencia Turia Hospital” as an example of “sustainable hospital architecture”.
This visit was part of the “Master’s in Hospital Architecture” promoted by “Alebat Education”, a platform specializing in training for healthcare professionals, in collaboration with “Serta Salud Arquitectos”, the architectural firm responsible for the design of Vithas Valencia Turia Hospital, which opened its doors last April.

The aim of the visit was to gain first-hand insight into the architectural and functional features of the hospital. Participants toured various areas of the facility, guided by members of the hospital’s technical and medical teams, with special attention to the elements that make “Vithas Valencia Turia Hospital” a benchmark in sustainable hospital design—such as the “efficient use of natural light”, the “integration of eco-friendly materials”, and the creation of “healing spaces” that promote both physical and emotional well-being.
In addition to the guided tour, the day also included a professional exchange session, addressing topics such as the humanization of healthcare spaces, energy efficiency in hospitals, and the current challenges in health infrastructure design.

Participants highly valued the experience, highlighting the architectural quality, functionality, and patient-centered approach of the hospital’s design. For many, it was a unique opportunity to observe how the concepts studied in the master’s program are put into practice, and to reflect on how these ideas could be applied within their own professional contexts.
Through this initiative, Vithas Valencia Turia Hospital strengthens its commitment to education, innovation, and international collaboration, consolidating its position as a reference space for learning and sharing best practices in hospital architecture.
