‘Karpaty’, by La Troupe Malabó, can be enjoyed at the Castellón Main Theater and the Peñíscola Congress Center.
In the first days of 2022, the Castellón Auditorium will host the Young Symphony Orchestra of the Generalitat Valenciana and the Castellón Auditorium.
Valencia – Cultura de la Generalitat, through the Valencian Institute of Culture, is programming family and musical shows in the first days of 2022 to welcome the new year.
The territorial delegate of the IVC in Castellón, Alfonso Ribes, has evaluated in a very positive way the year 2021 with an increase of the spectators in the different spaces of the IVC and the beginning of the regular programming in the Palace of Congresses of Peñíscola. He also pointed out that “the new year is off to a good start, reaching record numbers, with more than 300 subscribers to the Principal de Castellón and the good progress of season tickets for the Auditori”.
The Troupe Malabó will offer some of the first shows of the year 2022 in the spaces of the IVC. Betxí’s company will be performing ‘Karpaty’ on Sunday 2 January at 6 pm at the Teatre Principal in Castellón and on Thursday 6 January at 6 pm at the Palau de Congressos in Peñíscola. Ribes emphasized that “Karpaty” is a circus show in which we will have ‘clown’, trapeze, juggling, music and magic, aimed at an audience over the age of 4. “
The play has recently received the 2021 Valencian Performing Arts Award for Best Costume Design and is presented as a show without text, with gestures, and an invented Russian language. On stage we will enjoy ‘Karpaty Cirqué’, an old, traditional and prestigious Russian circus. After years of success, everything explodes, wars, epidemics, famine, lack of love, betrayals and ambitions, which leave the circus in its absolute decline. The survivors of the old circus embark on a long journey, in search of a place, of a kind world, where they can realize their only dream, show their art again in front of the public and share love.
First concerts of 2022 at the Castellón Auditorium
The Castellón Auditorium begins in 2022 with two concerts with great musicians who begin their careers in Valencia. On the one hand, the Young Symphony Orchestra of the Generalitat Valenciana presents a concert on Monday 3 January at 7.30 pm with a program consisting of pieces by Tchaikovsky and Dvorak. The main objective of the Generalitat’s Young Symphony Orchestra is to contribute to the training of musicians under the age of 26.
On Tuesday 4 January, the Castellón Youth Symphony Orchestra will give its first concert of the year 2022 at the Castellón Auditorium. At just 25 years old, the Young Orchestra continues to provide opportunities for young performers and young conductors. On this occasion, under the direction of Pilar Mor Caballero, they will offer works by L. Anderson / arr. William Zinn and J. Strauss.
