Housing pays more than 2.6 million euros to 1.390 families for rental assistance due to COVID-19

The payment refers to two resolutions of the General Directorate of Housing Emergency, the first already paid in full.

Requests from women in a single-parent family situation, victims of gender violence and the elderly are prioritized.

The Second Vice Presidency, Department of Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture, through the General Directorate of Housing Emergency, has provided for the payment of 2,627,816.37 euros, corresponding to rental aid for those people or living units affected by the crisis generated by COVID-19.

As explained by the general director of Architecture, Pura Peris, “the aid benefits a total of 1.390 families in the Valencian Community and will make it possible to keep the house on a rental basis”.

So far, the General Directorate has made two concession resolutions. Regarding the first resolution, the aid amounts to 405,850.33 euros and the amount of which has been paid, benefiting 226 family units. By provinces, 180 correspond to the province of Alicante, 32 to Castellón and 14 to Valencia.

Regarding the second resolution, the aid granted is 2,221,966.04 euros and will go to 1.164 family units. Of these, 782 correspond to the province of Alicante, 88 to that of Castellón and 294 to that of Valencia.

The grants will be paid as the documentation required by the general management is complete. In the granting of these grants, the date of the application has been prioritized, the one on which the documentation has been complete.

In the event that, upon exhaustion of the global amount, there are several beneficiaries with the same degree of economic vulnerability and with the same application date, the applications submitted by women in a single-parent family situation, victims of gender violence and the older, in this order.

The people or coexistence units applying for the aid must provide within 7 months of the aid being paid, the documentation proving that they have paid the renting party the rent corresponding to the months for which they have been paid. granted aid.
